Possible causes and resolutions for Medisoft Error 7009:
1) Check if the file system on this computer is Fat32 as opposed to NTFS. Fat32 doesn't allow for security settings to be set. Changing file system to NFTS and setting security settings fixed the issue. Perhaps check security permissions.
2) The advantage website also states "The data table has exceeded 4 gigabytes and the version of Advantage Database Server doesn't support files over 4 gigabytes." Check if the datafile is over 4GB or if the server or computer is out of storage space.
3) Intermittent network issues can cause this. Try turning off all computers and restart networking equipment - including the modem.
